This full day retreat style workshop will explore the intersection of self-care, rest, and spirituality through an Indigenous lens. We will discuss and practice traditional teachings rooted in Indigenous wisdom, as we engage in ongoing education and unlearning of colonial biases and assumptions about self-care, rest, and spirituality.
October 25th: 9am - 3:30pm: Lakeshore Arts
2422 Lake Shore Blvd W, Etobicoke, ON M8V 1C4
Cost: $99
Participants are invited to bring their own lunch or order from a surrounding local business during the lunch break.
This gathering is a unique opportunity to prioritize well-being and adopt a holistic view of self-care that integrates mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions of health and wellness. By exploring Indigenous perspectives we will learn about and integrate ways to play and rest that is respectful of its cultural significance and context.
The workshop combines artistic expression with focused intention, to build internal wellness through a creative process. Participants tune into their intuition and natural artistic gifts to create their own personal healing, in the present and future.
Throughout this workshop we will:
- Explore the unique relationship between humans and land.
- Deepen our understanding of how to incorporate this relationship with land into our work.
- Prioritize collective healing and care practices that support sustainability and reconciliation.
- Reflect on our personal relationship with land as a way to understand and connect with land from an Indigenous worldview.
